Zehabesha engagement report
@zehabesha - 102K followers on X
Measured over 58 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 15, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 7 interactions against 102K followers, an engagement rate of 0.007%. Measured over 58 original posts, its engagement rate beats 14% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 2.6K times each, and 0.267% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.56% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 70% of days. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 58 posts sampled, 69% carry an image or video and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 252 interactions, about 36x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #tiktok, #ethiopia, #amhararegion.

Compared with accounts its own size
Zehabesha's engagement rate beats 14% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 13% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.007%, Zehabesha sits above the 10th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 69% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 17% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 69% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 17% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 670 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Eskinder Nega Opposes the New Armed Coalition: "An Agreement Made Without Members' Consent Harms the Amhara Struggle" Prominent politician and member of the Amhara Fano National Movement (AFNM), Eskinder Nega, has strongly opposed the recently formed coalition between AFNM and other armed groups. In an open letter addressed to the organization's Politburo and the public, he stated that the agreement violated the members' right to be informed and the legal decision-making process. In his extensive statement dated September 12, 2019 (Ethiopian Calendar) and shared on social media, Eskinder condemned the coalition agreement made between AFNM leaders (specifically Arbegna Zemene Kassie) and other groups, calling it "a great injustice committed against the Amhara survival struggle." As Eskinder explained in his letter, although AFNM had garnered high public expectations since its inception, the organization is currently suffering from a lack of leadership competence and the absence of the rule of law. He criticized the fact that the new coalition was negotiated in secret, without the knowledge of the majority of AFNM members and leaders, and was ultimately announced to the media by Arbegna Zemene Kassie. His opposition targeted not only the secretive process of the agreement but also the historical background of the allied forces. According to his letter, the groups said to have partnered with AFNM—namely the TPLF, OLA (Shene), and the Gumuz Liberation Front—are known for their anti-Amhara and anti-Ethiopian stances. Furthermore, he noted that independent international human rights organizations have confirmed these armed groups have committed identity-based massacres against the Amhara people over the past eight years, holding them morally and legally accountable. Eskinder stressed that any agreement with such forces should have first been presented to the Fano forces for discussion to secure majority support. He also emphasized that the current AFNM leadership, which was not democratically elected in a general assembly but rather temporarily assigned to facilitate Fano's unity, lacks both the legal and moral authority to make such a monumental historical decision. Because he raised these legal questions and gave a statement to Deutsche Welle (DW) radio, Eskinder revealed that the AFNM Politburo had issued an order for his arrest. However, he noted that the lower command structures refused to execute the order, demonstrating their desire to uphold the rule of law. Finally, stating that "a coalition built on sand without members' participation cannot withstand a storm," Eskinder Nega announced that he will continue his struggle, undeterred by the threat of arrest or death, until the rights of Fano members and the rule of law are firmly established.

BREAKING: US Issues Severe Warning & Sanction Threats to TPLF and New Alliance! The US Embassy in Addis Ababa has taken a firm diplomatic stance on the escalating conflict in northern Ethiopia. US Ambassador Ervin Massinga strongly condemned the TPLF's new large-scale offensive, labeling it an "unwinnable fight" that does nothing for the people. In a direct message to the newly formed 7-group rebel alliance, the Embassy warned other armed groups to distance themselves from this conflict. The US also threatened severe sanctions against any political or military leaders pushing Ethiopia down the wrong path, urging all parties to return to AU-led political dialogue. What are your thoughts on this strong diplomatic move by the US? #Ethiopia #Tigray #USEmbassy

🚨 Prominent Human Rights Advocate and 'Little Ethiopia' Co-Founder Meron Ahadu Passes Away (ZeHabesha News) Meron Ahadu, a towering figure in the Ethiopian-American diaspora, a passionate human rights activist, and a dedicated community organizer, has passed away. The daughter of the esteemed veteran diplomat and journalist Ambassador Ahadu Sabure, Meron leaves behind a profound legacy. She was one of the five pioneering women instrumental in securing the official, legal designation of "Little Ethiopia" in Los Angeles—a monumental achievement for the community. Born and raised in Addis Ababa around the Old Airport area, Meron attended Nazareth School and the American Community School, even serving her country during the 'Edget Behibret' (Development through Cooperation) campaign. After relocating to the United States, she briefly lived in Washington, D.C., before making Los Angeles her home for the last four decades. Holding a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in management, she balanced her professional life with being a dedicated mother to her son, Ahadu. Professionally, Meron spent 15 years in the aviation industry working for major airlines like TWA and Alitalia, followed by a distinguished 16-year tenure serving the City of Los Angeles in a senior capacity. However, her true passion and calling always remained rooted in community organizing. For her exceptional contributions to the Ethiopian community, Meron was honored as "Woman of the Year" in 2007 by then-California State Assemblymember (and current LA Mayor) Karen Bass. Driven by a vision to elevate the diaspora's political voice, she founded the Ethiopian-American Advocacy Group (EAAG). Through this organization, she empowered Ethiopians to actively participate in local politics, assert their rights, and directly engage with elected officials. She truly lived the values of public service and patriotism inherited from her father, Ambassador Ahadu Sabure. The passing of Meron Ahadu is an immeasurable loss to the Ethiopian diaspora. In an era where diaspora engagement is often reduced to emotional political discourse, Meron taught a vital lesson: true, lasting change comes from building institutions, fostering a shared vision, and actively developing one's community. The "Little Ethiopia" initiative, championed by just five visionary women, stands today on American soil as a permanent symbol of Ethiopian commerce, culture, and identity. Meron’s vision was for Ethiopians not just to reside abroad, but to become key political and economic players in their adopted homes. ZeHabesha extends its deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the entire Ethiopian community. May a new generation rise to follow in her footsteps. #Ethiopia #ZehabeshaNews #MeronAhadu #LittleEthiopia #AmbassadorAhaduSabure #Diaspora #RestInPeace

The new armed alliance is facing fierce opposition. The OLF condemned it as a "conspiracy against Oromia." Prominent politicians like Amb. Lencho Bati dismissed armed struggle as an "illusion," while the UK government strongly condemned the Tigray forces' offensive. In response, the Tigray administration accused the US and the African Union of bias.

A massive internal political fracture is unfolding within the TPLF. Controversial former spy chief Getachew Assefa has reportedly orchestrated the arrests of top officials, including former President Gen. Tadesse Worede and senior intelligence figures. Meanwhile, Tigray's police chief has defected to the federal government, and another top general was suspended.

- What is Zehabesha's engagement rate on X?
- Zehabesha (@zehabesha) has an engagement rate of 0.007%, based on the median interactions across 58 original posts from the last 30 days against 102,318 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.007%, Zehabesha sits above the 10th percentile of the 213,004 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @zehabesha have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 14% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @zehabesha post?
- Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.93 posts per day across the measured window.
