Rock Sound engagement report
@rocksound - 377K followers on X
Measured over 98 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 2, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 17 interactions against 377K followers, an engagement rate of 0.004%. Measured over 98 original posts, its engagement rate beats 24% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 5.4K times each, and 0.315% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.43% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 70% of days. Most posts go out around 09:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 98 posts sampled, 97% carry an image or video and 86% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.9K interactions, about 173x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Rock Sound's engagement rate beats 24% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 21% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.004%, Rock Sound sits above the 10th percentile of the 212,146 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 97% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 86% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | no effect | -2% to -1% | 42K |
- 97% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 86% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 267 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

My Chemical Romance have announced a 20th anniversary edition of their classic album 'The Black Parade'. The band have revealed that, for the first time ever, they are bringing together everything that they produced during the album's sessions into one ultimate collection. The band had this to say about the record, stating, "At the time, we could never have imagined what the record would mean for the band. All we knew is that we had made something crazy, and something we couldn’t wait to get it out into the world. Today, twenty years on, we celebrate its release." They have also asked original artwork artist James Jean to create new artwork for the release, and he has produced an updated version of some of the many fantastical characters that made up the world surrounding the record. You can sign up for first access to the physical release of the album right now at https://t.co/0uBAvZKEba

Rock Sound is sad to report that guitarist Andy Williams has passed away at the age of 48. Williams was a founding member of Every Time I Die, alongside guitarist Jordan Buckley and original drummer Michael Novak, playing on each of the group’s nine studio albums, from 2001’s ‘First Night In Town’ through to 2021’s ‘Radical’, until their disbanding in 2022. Most recently, he played in metalcore group Atomic Rule, releasing two 3-track EPs in 2025, alongside a career in wrestling, appearing in AEW as ‘The Butcher’ in a tag-team duo alongside Jesse ‘The Blade’ Guilmette. Multiple news outlets reported that he experienced a medical emergency during an ‘Enjoy Wrestling’ match in Millvale, Pennsylvania on Saturday night (September 05) and was rushed to hospital. TMZ then reported that Williams had passed away, whilst Enjoy Wrestling added to their report of last night’s incident simply stating ‘Butcher Forever’. Tributes have appeared from Josh Scogin, ’68 guitarist and longtime friend and touring partner of Andy, sharing “Andy was larger than life in everything he did. Music, wrestling, friendship, etc. He always went big”, whilst AEW wrestler Josh Alexander has said “I’ll remember Andy for what he was. A dude with an enormous heart that could always put a smile on my face.” Steve Kaye, who represented Andy’s wrestling career via his agency Paragon Talent Group, paid his own tribute, stating, “Every phone call ended with him reminding me to take care of myself and give myself some grace. So today, I pray that Andy receives that same grace as he crosses to the next stage”. Our thoughts are with Williams’ friends and family at this time.

Rock Sound is sad to report that guitarist Chad Gilbert has passed away at the age of 45. Chad was a founding member of New Found Glory playing on all of the band's albums from 1999's 'Nothing Gold Can Stay' to this year's 'Listen Up!'. He also served as vocalist for seminal hardcore band Shai Hulud between 1995-1998 and 2012-2013, as well as serving as producer for A Day To Remember's 'Homesick', 'What Separates Me From You' and 'Common Courtesy', H2O's 'Nothing To Prove' and Fireworks' 'All I Have to Offer Is My Own Confusion'. For the last five years, Gilbert has been battling cancer, and, as shared by his wife, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 20. She adds, "He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished. We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went. The amount of visitors that crowded the hospital lobby at a moment’s notice is a testament to how beloved and cherished Chad was, and always will be. He was a legendary musician, but his favorite accomplishment was being a husband and father. His biggest dreams came true. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Lily, his mother, Jackie, and his brother, Brian." His New Found Glory bandmates additionally paid tribute, sharing, "Chad’s guitar playing, songwriting, humor, and relentless drive helped shape New Found Glory for nearly three decades. Through more than a dozen albums, endless tours around the world, and more accolades than we ever could have imagined, Chad challenged all of us to grow as musicians, performers, and human beings. While we are devastated to lose him, we are so grateful for the incredible life he lived, the memories we shared, and the brotherhood we had. His influence will always be part of New Found Glory and his spirit will be felt on every stage we stand on, with every note we play." Our thoughts are with Chad’s family, friends and bandmates at this time.

Twenty One Pilots, All Points East 2026 REVIEW: “This is it. It’s just me, Josh, and you.” When Tyler Joseph utters this sentiment, it feels like he is talking to every single person packed into Victoria Park individually. It’s a way of thinking that has, in fairness, been at the centre of everything that Twenty One Pilots have done over the last 15 years. It’s something that has allowed them to become that special band for so many, and many still finding them when they need them most. And within every aspect of the band’s biggest ever UK show, they have made sure that relationship continues to be pivotal. It’s all in the details really. There’s a first-time live showing of ‘Robot Voices’, with assistance from Emi Grace - very much a nod to the sensational line-up assembled by the band for this occasion. There are showings for clique favourites, spanning from a rousing ‘Message Man’ to a unifying ‘Guns For Hands’. There’s Josh climbing a ladder towards the heavens and putting on a literal drum show during, well, ‘Drum Show’. There are snippets of ‘Creep’ by Radiohead and ‘Let It Be’ by The Beatles interspliced, paying respect to the bands from this isle that have inspired the duo throughout the year. The classics still hit hard too, though. ‘Center Mass’ is cathatically thrilling, ‘Heavydirtysoul’ is fiery, and the riff that defines ‘Jumpsuit’ feels heavier than ever. Every song has a twist and turn, perfectly crafted to elicit the most euphoric and frenzied reaction. And from front to back, the smiles are endless, the tearducts are active, and the dreams are realised. As things come to a close with a timeless ‘Trees’, this masterclass, this new favourite show for so many, already feels a part of history. A beautifully fulfilling, wonderfully crafted and endlessly exciting showing from a duo who always have an extra trick up their sleeves. What a pleasure it continues to be to get to watch their unique brand of magic in action. ✏️ Jack Rogers 📷 Corinne Cumming

Slipknot have made their return with a new track titled 'Arsenal'. The song is the band's first new music in three years, picking up where 2023's EP 'Adderall' left off. The song feels like a culmination of everything the band have come to be defined by over the years. The caustic energy that festered beneath their earliest releases meets the melodic sensibility that has bolstered their recent output. The result is an insatiably catchy piece of timeless metal, brimming with record scratches, noodling solos, and unhinged, animalistic bellows. Quintessential. 📷 Jonathan Weiner

My Chemical Romance, Louder Than Life 2026 LIVE REVIEW: A beheading. An operatic turn from an unexpected source. Magic tricks. Knighting ceremonies. Fire, and lots of it. There are some things that have come to be expected from My Chemical Romance in their time reinterpreting the world of The Black Parade over the last year or so, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still have endless surprises up their sleeves at every turn. And their appearance at Louder Than Life feels like one of the most prominent culminations of the spellbindingly deadly narrative that has unfolded within the nation of Draag, allowing their performance of these iconic, influential, timeless songs to feel heightened, too. Gerard Way stalks his way through a gritty ‘The Sharpest Lives’ and throat-shredding ‘Mama’, ruby blood splattered across his face from a graphic and fatal encounter with a soldier ahead of ‘Cancer’, whilst the deep sentiments at the core of ‘Sleep’ and ‘Disenchanted’ feel all the more poignant at this point in their journey, with Frank Iero, Mikey Way and Ray Toro clearly feeling every dramatic chord and tear-stained refrain. By the time ‘I’m Not Okay’, ‘Na Na Na’ and ‘Helena’, as well as a nice rollout for ‘Danger Days’ b-side ‘Zero Percent’, are rolled out as an evening ender, their place still at the head of the table, bigger, bolder and braver than the rest of the bunch, is even more ironclad. As we approach the end of this sensational run and the prospect of whatever comes next reaches boiling point, nights like this cement why MCR remain the force of nature they are. Because they do things that others wouldn’t even consider. They reward you for trusting their process. They go the extra mile, just because they can. And as long as that passion and purpose stay at the forefront, then nobody is even going to get close to them any time soon. ✏️ Jack Rogers 📷 Steve Thrasher

- What is Rock Sound's engagement rate on X?
- Rock Sound (@rocksound) has an engagement rate of 0.004%, based on the median interactions across 98 original posts from the last 30 days against 376,912 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.004%, Rock Sound sits above the 10th percentile of the 212,146 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @rocksound have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 24% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @rocksound post?
- Most posts go out around 09:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 3.33 posts per day across the measured window.
