A typical post picks up 8.1K interactions against 3.5M followers, an engagement rate of 0.229%. Measured over 13 original posts, its engagement rate beats 83% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 353K times each, and 2.28% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 10.0% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 47% of days. Most posts go out around 08:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 13 posts sampled, 85% carry an image or video, 23% are part of a thread and 23% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 42K interactions, about 4.7x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Bola Ahmed Tinubu's engagement rate beats 83% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 70% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.229%, Bola Ahmed Tinubu sits above the 50th percentile of the 212,349 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.146% to 0.696%.

The re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country under the All Progressives Congress administration. I called Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him. I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election. I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land. I must also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner. May our democracy continue to thrive and be strengthened God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President

When I placed the Renewed Hope Agenda before Nigerians, I did not speak of housing in vague terms. I gave my word that this administration would work to make decent homes affordable again, and that a hardworking family, after years of paying rent, would finally have a path to a house of its own. Let me account for that promise plainly, by juxtaposing what we pledged beside what we have actually achieved. 1/

Fellow Nigerians, Three years ago, on this day, I first addressed you as your President. I pledged courage in leadership, honesty in reform, and commitment to rebuilding the foundations of our economy. The decisions we have taken since have been difficult but necessary. Today, the signs of recovery, resilience, and renewal are visible across our country. In honour of this milestone, and as a precursor to Democracy Day, today, across all six geopolitical zones, over twenty groups of strategic projects in energy, health, enterprise, education, and public works would be commissioned. Under the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund, four flagship projects today. FEMADEC Energy at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri — the first of twenty CNG refuelling stations in our federal universities. Portland Gas at Ojota, Lagos — a 96,000 SCMD CNG mother station, with a daughter station in Kubwa, Abuja. Ibile Oil and Gas, with its network of fifteen CNG refuelling stations across Lagos State. And Rolling Energy at Jahi, Abuja — anchoring a portfolio of seventeen RLNG and LCNG facilities across Kaduna, Kano and Borno. Together, these projects will lower transport costs, expand cleaner energy, and strengthen our energy sovereignty. In the health sector, thirteen new projects today across all six zones — every one of them ribbon-cut on the ground today. Six new facilities at our federal teaching hospitals: the President Bola Tinubu Complex at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja; the Trauma Centre Pharmacy Quality Control Laboratory at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria; the Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technology Centre at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi; the new Mental Health Complex at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital; the new Administrative Complex at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu; and the Laboratory Complex at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital. Also commissioned are the State Emergency Operations Centres in Kano, Sokoto and Katsina; the newly constructed Lagos Vaccine Hub in Oshodi; and the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System fleet — one hundred and forty-five tricycle ambulances, six boat ambulances, and seventy-nine new ambulances for our federal hospitals. Two revitalised primary health centres at Gadon Kaya in Kano and Aboh in Delta State. These two stand for the almost three thousand primary health centres our administration has revitalised under the IMPACT programme over the last two years, alongside twenty-seven equipped Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care sites, one thousand six hundred and two revitalised Level 1 facilities, and one thousand three hundred and sixty revitalised Level 2 facilities, together bringing quality care closer to ordinary Nigerians in every zone. Alongside these, the new SMEDAN Industrial Development Centre at Ikorodu, Lagos, and additional projects in education and public works being delivered across the country. These projects are not ceremonial symbols. They are evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is being felt in homes, businesses, schools and hospitals across our federation. Today is the commemoration of our inauguration. It is not a day for long speeches. On June 12, our Democracy Day, we will present our full scorecard to Nigerians. And so, by the authority vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I hereby declare all these projects — across our health system, our energy infrastructure, our enterprise, our education and our public works — duly commissioned, and dedicated to the service of the Nigerian people. The work continues. The reforms continue. And our resolve remains unshaken. Thank you, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 2026 INDEPENDENCE DAY ADDRESS: FROM REFORMS TO PROSPERITY My fellow Nigerians, Sixty-six years ago today, our flag was raised, for the first time, over a free and sovereign nation. Since then, we have journeyed together as one nation, bound by our collective trust in the great promise of Nigeria: that a country of our size, our bountiful resources, our cultural diversity and, above all, our extraordinary people can build a giant in Africa; that in this blessed and fertile land we can build a united, strong and prosperous nation; a land of regional authority and global consequence. Our journey has not always been easy. In truth, it has generally been too hard for too many. We have known moments of great hope and periods of profound disappointment. We have endured war, military rule, economic crises, insecurity and political upheaval. Yet through it all, Nigeria, with the indomitable spirit of its people, has endured. It has endured through the efforts of the farmer who rises before dawn to work his land. The trader who opens her shop each morning, hopeful for a productive day. The teacher who believes in the children entrusted to her care and the young entrepreneur who refuses to surrender ambition to circumstance. We are grateful for the men and women of our Armed Forces and security services who place themselves in harm's way so that the rest of us may live in peace. Through every difficulty, generations of Nigerians have continued to believe in one thing: that this country of ours will be better. This faith, which sustains us all, is the inheritance of independence. Our founding fathers did not struggle merely for a flag, an anthem or a place among the nations of the world. Independence carried a larger promise: that Nigerians would have the freedom to shape their own destiny and build a nation capable of providing opportunity, dignity and a better life for its people. Sixty-six years later, Almighty God has made it our responsibility to deliver that promise. Today, as we celebrate our independence, we must speak honestly about the journey so far, the choices we made, and the country we are determined to build from here. For too long, the promise of Nigeria was undermined by choices that postponed difficult decisions and allowed deep economic distortions to grow. By 2023, poverty was rising, and hope was nearly gone. The country's situation was darker than ever. We had no choice but to act. Nigeria was like a sick patient who receives the terrible news that he has cancer. His doctor explains that the treatment will be difficult and painful, but that it offers a strong prospect of recovery. The patient has a choice. He can begin treatment, endure its discomfort and fight the disease. Or he can ask only for morphine, dull the pain and leave the cancer to spread. For too long, Nigeria's leaders chose morphine while praying for a miracle that never came. They focused on symptoms while allowing the disease to take hold deep within the fabric of our society. We spent enormous sums sustaining inefficient arrangements that were never intended to last. We hid from difficult truths and passed the consequences from one generation to the next. When this Administration assumed office, we resolved to do things differently. We chose to excise the cancer. The reforms that followed were difficult. The side effects were real. Yet, we must never confuse the medicine with the disease. Our reforms did not create the weaknesses in our economy. They confronted them. Now, as certain influential but regressive voices would have us abandon the treatment and return ourselves to the abuse of addictive subsidies, we must resist their siren song. We must remember why we began this journey and how far we have already come.

Tonight, our nation has reason to give thanks. The children and teachers abducted by Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State have been rescued by our security forces, alive and unharmed. No ransom was paid. No concession was made. I salute every officer and operative whose courage, discipline, and professionalism made this possible. To those who seek to spread fear through terror, know that the Nigerian state will pursue you relentlessly. We will protect our people, defend our communities, and never relent until peace and security prevail across our country. Overnight, Nigeria and the United States recorded a significant example of effective collaboration in the fight against terrorism. Our determined Nigerian Armed Forces, working closely with the Armed Forces of the United States, conducted a daring joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to the ranks of the Islamic State. Early assessments confirm the elimination of the wanted IS senior leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lieutenants, during a strike on his compound in the Lake Chad Basin Nigeria appreciates this partnership with the United States in advancing our shared security objectives. I extend my sincere gratitude to President Trump for his leadership and unwavering support in this effort. I commend the personnel involved on both sides for their professionalism and courage, and I look forward to more decisive strikes against all terrorist enclaves across the nation. 1/3 Dear Blessing, I watched your video and listened as you explained how your journey from Masaka to Berger in the FCT now costs ₦500 instead of ₦1,500. That is ₦1,000 saved every trip. I know what that means when you have a family to feed, bills to pay and other responsibilities waiting at home. I was equally pleased to hear from Ada and Abigail, who now pay ₦1,600 instead of ₦4,000 to travel from Enugu to Nsukka, saving ₦2,400 on each journey. I also listened to Kabir, a taxi driver who explained that ₦10,000 worth of CNG allows him to make three more return trips than his colleagues using petrol. He says he has no intention of going back to petrol. I have also received encouraging feedback from Borno, where some commuters are now paying as little as ₦50 per trip on CNG and electric vehicles. Your various experiences show what our investment in CNG transportation is intended to achieve. Lower operating costs for drivers should translate into more affordable fares for passengers, leaving families with more money for their everyday needs. When we removed the petrol subsidy, I knew the decision would bring difficulties for many households. With that decision came a responsibility to provide practical alternatives that would ease transportation costs. Your stories show this is already happening, and I want more Nigerians to experience these benefits.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT) has an engagement rate of 0.229%, based on the median interactions across 13 original posts from the last 30 days against 3,521,421 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.229%, Bola Ahmed Tinubu sits above the 50th percentile of the 212,349 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
