A typical post picks up 1.6K interactions against 2.5M followers, an engagement rate of 0.064%. Measured over 43 original posts, its engagement rate beats 63% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 66K times each, and 2.42% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.62% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 6 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 43 posts sampled, 56% carry an image or video and 33% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 33K interactions, about 21x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #daregreatly, #mlb, #nlcs.

Compared with accounts its own size

Joe Scarborough's engagement rate beats 63% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 72% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.064%, Joe Scarborough sits above the 25th percentile of the 212,078 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.025% to 0.146%.

This account posts most often around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 56% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 33% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 217 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

By threatening to bomb Oman — a longtime U.S. ally with nearly 200 years of diplomatic ties and active military cooperation — Trump just became the first American president in history to openly threaten to bomb one of our own partners. This is fucking insane. Treating a friendly Gulf nation the same way you'd threaten an actual enemy isn't tough leadership; it's the deranged, reality-detached ranting of a man who has completely lost the plot. There are no grown-ups in this regime, only loyalists unwilling to put the brakes on a president who is obviously in the depths of a psychological breakdown.

All year long we heard “we’ll get to the SAVE America Act when we have time,” realizing it would likely take a few weeks. We waited patiently while fully funding DHS and addressing other priorities, expecting to return to it when time allowed. It’s now August, and we’ve already taken more recess weeks this year than I can count. There are 21 weeks remaining in 2026, and approximately 14 of them will be spent with the Senate in recess. Why? These few weeks in August offer what could be the perfect chance to return to the SAVE America Act and debate the bill until it passes. We should be doing precisely that. Frankly, we should have done it months ago. That’s why I objected to recess and voted against it. Unfortunately, I and those who joined me in opposing it were far outnumbered—with all Democrats and most Republicans preferring to take yet another lengthy recess, this time until September 14th. Lost opportunity.

The game of the year, without a doubt, and one of the greatest regular-season games ever. The Chicago White Sox held a lead within every inning from the third inning through the 12th on Thursday night -- 10 straight innings of leads. And lost in the 13th. What a win for the Red Sox.

10 years ago today @HillaryClinton nailed the bleak future ahead if Trump was elected. “Clinton: Putin would rather have a puppet as president. You won't admit the Russians engaged in cyberattacks against the US, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants you to do.” Every word is true. Tragically, his capitulation to Russia is even worse than imagined.

Reading these numbers

What is Joe Scarborough's engagement rate on X?
Joe Scarborough (@ScarboroughNow) has an engagement rate of 0.064%, based on the median interactions across 43 original posts from the last 30 days against 2,500,785 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.064%, Joe Scarborough sits above the 25th percentile of the 212,078 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @ScarboroughNow have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 63% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @ScarboroughNow post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 5.97 posts per day across the measured window.
