Namal Rajapaksa engagement report
@RajapaksaNamal - 414K followers on X
Measured over 21 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 26, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 96 interactions against 414K followers, an engagement rate of 0.023%. Measured over 21 original posts, its engagement rate beats 46% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 12K times each, and 0.833% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.79% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.7 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 53% of days. Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 21 posts sampled, 33% carry an image or video and 10% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 369 interactions, about 3.8x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #gamingamata, #nextwavenr, #slpp.

Compared with accounts its own size
Namal Rajapaksa's engagement rate beats 46% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 42% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.023%, Namal Rajapaksa sits above the 10th percentile of the 212,482 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 33% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |

| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 33% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 10% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 681 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Sri Lanka’s decision to provide US$1 million in humanitarian assistance to Nepal following the devastating floods and landslides is a meaningful expression of solidarity. At a time of immense hardship, standing with our friends and neighbours is not just about words, but about extending support when it is needed most. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal at these trying times.

For years, before this Government came to power, public statements were made alleging that significant sums of public money had been misappropriated, with promises that any unlawfully obtained funds would be recovered and returned to Sri Lanka. The Government has now been in office for two years. During that period, the public has continued to hear that evidence exists, that investigations are under way, and that any funds obtained unlawfully will be recovered through due process. If there is evidence relating to me, I welcome a fair, impartial and transparent investigation. If a court determines that wrongdoing has occurred, the law should take its course in accordance with established legal procedures. At the same time, all investigations and proceedings must be conducted independently, without political interference, and with full respect for the presumption of innocence and the right to a fair hearing. Today, I have been remanded until 18 September. Tomorrow, the Government will hold a political rally to mark two years in office, with the President scheduled to address the gathering. On 12 September, thousands of our supporters are also expected to attend our own political meeting. Given these events, members of the public are entitled to ask: Why today? Why now? Why until 18 September? People may be underestimated, but they are not unaware. They know what is happening. I will respect the legal process and cooperate with any lawful investigation. I also reserve my right to challenge any allegation or decision through the remedies available to me under the law. I remain committed to representing the people who have placed their trust in me and to upholding the principles of due process, equality before the law and judicial independence. Political office is temporary. The rule of law must endure. I will face these proceedings calmly and without fear. — Namal Rajapaksa Admin note: This statement is being posted on behalf of MP Namal Rajapaksa.

Today is a special day for our family, as we celebrate Kesara’s birthday and another year of our journey together. Even in difficult times, family remains my greatest strength. Kesara, watching you grow is one of my greatest joys. And Limini, thank you for standing beside me through every chapter. Happy birthday my son, Kesera. Happy anniversary to my wife, Limini. Some journeys are tested by circumstances. What matters is that we keep moving forward, together. - Admin

I could not stand with you in Anuradhapura today. But from behind the walls of remand, I felt the strength of the people. My sincere thanks to everyone who organised today’s #JanaSatana rally, to those who travelled from across the country, and to every person who stood with us, including those who came from different political parties and backgrounds. What we saw today was bigger than one party or one individual. It was people coming together because they believe Sri Lanka deserves better. We may disagree on many things, but when it comes to justice, democracy, accountability and the future of our country, we must be willing to stand together. To every person who stood in Anuradhapura today, this message is for you: your voice was heard. And it will not be forgotten. #NextWaveNR #SLPP - Admin

Today, I returned to Parliament and spoke about what two years of promises have actually delivered to the people of Sri Lanka. For two years, we have heard announcements about economic relief, development, agriculture, healthcare and support for our people. But beyond the speeches and the headlines, what is happening on the ground? The farmer is still struggling with rising production costs and poor returns. Families are still struggling with the cost of living. Communities are facing water shortages. Patients are still struggling to find essential medicines. A promise is not a result. An announcement is not delivery. And a foundation stone is not development. The Government cannot continue to present plans as achievements while asking the people to wait for the promised change. I raised these issues because the people deserve answers not another story. And I will continue to raise them. Circumstances may change. Restrictions may be placed. But my responsibility to the people who elected me does not change. I will continue to speak. I will continue to question. I will continue to stand. Political pressure cannot change the facts on the ground, and it cannot change my commitment to the people of Sri Lanka. They may try to decide when I speak. They will never decide what I stand for. — Admin #SriLanka #ParliamentLK #NamalRajapaksa #NRNextWave

Two years. One question: Where are the results? 43% of Sri Lankan youth aged 15–24 with post-secondary education are unemployed, the highest rate in the IMF’s comparison of selected Asian economies. Economic growth down from 5.3% to 4.1%. Inflation at 8.1%. 35,000 graduate jobs promised. Now, 12,000 announced. Farmers waiting for payments. Fertiliser delayed. Disaster victims still waiting for promised compensation. And serious questions over USD 1 billion allegedly moving through the black economy. You can celebrate two years. But numbers don’t celebrate. Families don’t live on promises. Young people don’t build their futures on announcements. A government is judged by what it delivers, not what it declares. Enough with the new promises. Deliver what you already promised. #NamalRajapaksa #ParliamentLK #SriLanka #NextWaveNR — Admin

Today in Parliament, I reminded the Government of something they seem to have forgotten: the promises they made to the people. They promised higher salaries. Relief for farmers. Jobs for 35,000 graduates. Lower electricity bills. Cheaper fuel. Affordable vehicles. Lower taxes. No rice imports. An end to corruption. The people believed those promises. Today, the salaries have not kept pace. Farmers are still paying the price. Graduates were used and abandoned. Electricity bills have gone up. Taxes keep rising. Rice is being imported. And the very corruption they promised to eliminate continues to demand answers. And when those questions are asked, when uncomfortable facts are raised, the answer appears to be custody and silence. And when these promises are questioned, we are now told they were never made. The problem is not that the people have forgotten. The problem is that the Government hopes they have. A manifesto is not a souvenir. A campaign promise is not something you can deny after winning an election. The people did not vote for promises. They voted for results. And today, I asked them to account for both. — Admin #ParliamentLK #SriLanka #NamalRajapaksa #NRNextWave

- What is Namal Rajapaksa's engagement rate on X?
- Namal Rajapaksa (@RajapaksaNamal) has an engagement rate of 0.023%, based on the median interactions across 21 original posts from the last 30 days against 413,541 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.023%, Namal Rajapaksa sits above the 10th percentile of the 212,482 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @RajapaksaNamal have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 46% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @RajapaksaNamal post?
- Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.7 posts per day across the measured window.
