A typical post picks up 19 interactions against 620K followers, an engagement rate of 0.003%. Measured over 70 original posts, its engagement rate beats 20% of 21,185 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 8.1K times each, and 0.234% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.31% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 50% of days. Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 70 posts sampled, 64% carry an image or video and 46% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 3.1K interactions, about 163x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #bard, #celesterivashernandez, #d4vd.

Compared with accounts its own size

Los Angeles Magazine's engagement rate beats 20% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 17% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.003%, Los Angeles Magazine sits below the 10th percentile of the 212,146 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 212,146 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,455 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

This account posts most often around 01:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

This account's posting mix compared with catalog-wide effects

  • 64% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 46% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 447 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: New motion filed in Lil Durk Trial @LAmag Lil Durk’s defense team has just filed a motion asking the judge to allow the following @Akademiks interview with their client to be admitted into evidence at 8:15 AM tomorrow morning. The defense is arguing the video offers an alternative explanation for “one-sided snippets” they say have been provided by the government regarding Banks’ reaction to public pressure for avenging the death of King Von. The defense states in the motion that the video clip shows Banks’ “state of mind” and reaction to “trollers.”

As the jury deliberates, the defense for Lil Durk has once again filed a motion to admit additional footage from Durk's interview with DJ Akademik's to provide "complete evidence of Mr. Banks' statements." "Mr. Banks requests that the Court reopen evidence to allow for the admission, under Rule 106, of the additional portions of the same conversation with DJ Akademiks that the government misleadingly spliced to its advantage," the motion reads. The defense has requested an emergency hearing. @LAmag

India Royale leaving after court wraps in the fourth day of her husband’s trial. Lil Durk has pleaded not guilty in the alleged murder-for-hire plot that killed Saviay’a Robinson, cousin to Quando Rondo. @LAmag As she left the courtroom, I noticed Royale giving her husband what looked like a flirty smile and a low wave. Durk returned that smile, then stretched in a joking manor, making Royale smile a second time.

LIL DURK NOT GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES‼️@TaylorParise was inside the courtroom: Lil Durk is found not guilty on all charges in his murder for hire trial. As the verdict was read, Durk had his head in his hand, seemingly emotional. Durk’s mother cried while India Royale held her. Durk’s entire family was emotional and did their best to remain calm during the reading, but gasps were heard throughout the gallery. Fans ran out of the courtroom before court closed and were jumping, cheering and hugging in the hall. DeAndre Wilson and David Lindsey were found guilty on charges 1, 2 and 3. Both were found not guilty on charges 4 and 5 — relating to the murder-for-hire charge.

The charges were as following: conspiracy to commit stalking; stalking Bowman using a dangerous weapon; stalking Robinson resulting in death; conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities in a murder-for-hire resulting in Robinson’s death; and using interstate commerce facilities in a murder-for-hire resulting in Robinson’s death. There are pending charges against Lil Durk- it’s unclear if he will be released from jail pending the other charges.

What is Los Angeles Magazine's engagement rate on X?
Los Angeles Magazine (@LAmag) has an engagement rate of 0.003%, based on the median interactions across 70 original posts from the last 30 days against 620,456 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.003%, Los Angeles Magazine sits below the 10th percentile of the 212,146 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @LAmag have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 20% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,185 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @LAmag post?
Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 3.87 posts per day across the measured window.
